Alpha Chi Omega
Alpha Omicron at The Ohio State University
SISTERHOOD
The Alpha Omicron chapter of Alpha Chi Omega has served as a home away from home for women at The Ohio State University for generations. Alpha Chi allows women to form sisterly bonds that don’t just last 4 years, but last a lifetime. Alpha Chi Omega values real, strong women who uphold our values of character, leadership, academic achievement, personal development and financial responsibility. Our women challenge each other to be the best versions of themselves everyday and create memories and experiences to enhance the traditional college experience.
PHILANTHROPY
"Being Vice President of Philanthropy is so meaningful for me because it allows me to be an advocate for all the women in our chapter in the fight against the cycle of domestic violence. Every service event and fundraiser we hold as Alpha Chi Omegas allows us to make even the smallest of positive marks on our community and it is truly a privilege be a part of that process, especially when it comes to serving the needs of others." - Emma Kate, VP of Philanthropy

Alpha Chi Omega's takes enormous pride in our national philanthropies- Domestic Violence Awareness and the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation. participates in numerous annual events to raise funds and awareness for the causes such as the "Buckeyes at Bat" softball tournament,", our annual Benefit Dinner, and the "Alpha Chi Best Kisser" chocolate kiss and bake sale to promote healthy relationships.
ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT
Academics is one of the most important aspects of being a sister in Alpha Chi. Weekly study tables are booked at the library, there is a minimum GPA requirement for membership, and a wide-range of majors contribute to driven and helpful sisters. Additionally, our sisters participate in other academic programs such as study abroad and internships, which add to the success of the Real, Strong Women of Alpha Chi Omega.
ANTI-HAZING
Alpha Chi Omega follows a strict, no-hazing policy. We do not believe that a pledge or any member should be asked to do anything that is physically or mentally harmful. Each member of our chapter upholds high moral standards and should treat every sister and herself with the highest respect.
