Alpha Chi Omega
Alpha Omicron at The Ohio State University
RECRUITMENT
WHEN
At The Ohio State University, Sorority Formal Recruitment takes place during the first two weekends of Spring Semester. Potential new members (PNMs) will be put into groups and then go through a "mutual selection" process in order to find the chapter whose values match their own. Sometimes, the Alpha Omicron chapter of Alpha Chi Omega also participates in Fall "Informal" Recruitment. Check the Panhellenic Association's website here for more information.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
Alpha Chi Omega looks for women who uphold our values of character, leadership, academic achievement, personal development and financial responsibility. Whether you have grown up with Greek parents, are hesitant to rush or have no idea what to expect, we look forward to meeting all potential members in hopes of welcoming them into our sisterhood!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Formal Recruitment is broken up into four rounds: house tour, philanthropy, sisterhood, and preference. This allows both you and the chapter to learn more about one another and if you are a good match. At the end of these four rounds is Bid Day. Running down High Street and 15th has never been so exciting as you are welcomed into your new sisterhood!
